Please join the KCDP at the Historic Suffrage Parade on May 7, 2022.
This will be a walking parade down Gay Street, onto Clinch Avenue, then into Market Square for the Suffrage Program. The assembly venue is still being decided due to current construction.
Please wear your white or vintage clothing as well as hats and Suffrage sashes to match the reenactment look. While current political messages and candidate posters are not allowed, we may carry posters for voting rights, vintage posters, or even a picture of a relative if you have one that was a suffragist. Cutouts of past suffragists and current people working on voting rights are allowed.
Per parade rules, all participants must be fully vaccinated and free of COVID. Masks may be required based on mandates closer to time.
There will be a release form required to participate in the parade. These can be submitted in advance or completed at the parade site. Click HERE for the release form.
