Knox Dems Partners with Tennessee Valley Coalition of the Homeless for Winter Drive to Support Unhoused Neighbors

Community collaboration aims to provide essential winter supplies and resources to those experiencing homelessness

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (February 2, 2026 ) – The Knox County Democratic Party (KCDP), in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Coalition of the Homeless, are proud to announce a winter clothing drive to support our neighbors throughout the greater Knoxville area. While collecting and distributing essential cold-weather items through the month of February, this collaborative effort will also connect people experiencing homelessness to vital services during the challenging winter months.

As temperatures drop, the need for warm clothing, blankets, and other necessities becomes critical. “No one should have to face the cold without basic necessities,” said Domonica Bryan, Chair of the Knoxville Democrats. “By partnering with the Tennessee Valley Coalition of the Homeless, we’re able to amplify our impact and ensure donations reach those who need them most. This is about neighbors helping neighbors.”

The winter drive will accept donations including:

  • Gently used coats

  • Hats

  • Gloves

  • Socks

  • Blankets

Community members interested in contributing can drop off donations at the locations below:

  • KnoxFill - 6204 Chapman Hwy. (Mon-Sat 10-7, Sun 11-5)

  • Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church - 2931 Kingston Pike (drop off times to be determined)

  • Knox County Democratic Party Headquarters - 311 Morgan Street

For those who prefer online giving, items can be purchased directly from the TVCH Amazon wishlist at bit.ly/3LxXT7D, which will be shipped directly to the organization.
