The Knox County Democratic Party (KCDP) has officially elected Domonica Bryan to serve as its new Chair. Bryan, who previously served as Vice Chair, assumed the role as Acting Chair in accordance with party bylaws and was formally elected during the County Assembly meeting held Thursday.
Bryan expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in her and outlined a clear, actionable vision for the party's future.
“This is a team effort, and I’m grateful for the trust placed in me,” Bryan said after her election. “I’m honored to step into the role of Chair and help lead our party with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to amplifying every voice in our community. My vision is simple: a stronger, more connected, and more energized party that works year-round to meet the needs of the people of Knox County.”
Bryan highlighted her priorities as the organization looks toward the pivotal 2026 election cycle.
“Under my leadership, I aim to expand voter outreach, increase transparency in local government, and create a more substantial presence in neighborhoods across the county.”
Background on Domonica Bryan

As we look toward pivotal 2026 elections, I have full confidence in Domonica’s leadership. Her commitment to our community and her collaborative approach make her exactly the right person to guide the party forward.”
Hohl will continue supporting the organization in a volunteer capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
